Why does the Mobile Country Code (MCC), Mobile Network Code (MNC) not show up for my phone number lookup?

The Mobile Country Code (MCC) and Mobile Network Code (MNC) are often used to help identify a mobile phone number's carrier. While MCC and MNC are have wide international adoption, there are cases where mobile carriers are not associated with an MCC or MNC. When performing a Carrier search via the Lookup API, this information will be returned if available.

Notice: The MCC and MNC are not available for landline phone numbers.
