The Authy app automatically uses an icon for most popular 2FA account token types. However, users can change to a generic icon, or search for a logo of their choice. This guide explains how to change the icons or logos associated with your 2FA account tokens.

Add or change a 2FA account token logo on Android
- Open the Authy Android app.
- Tap the … (menu) icon in the upper right corner, and then select Settings.
- Tap Accounts at the top of the screen.
- Tap the desired 2FA authenticator account.
- Tap Edit logo.
- Select the default logo, a generic logo, or tap the bar at the top to search for another logo. When finished, tap Continue.
- Edit the account nickname if desired, and then tap Save.

- Open the Authy iOS app.

Please note, the Authy Desktop app does not currently support searching for alternative logos. Only the built-in logos can be selected for your 2FA tokens.

- Click Settings in the bottom right corner of the window.
- Click Accounts.
- Click the desired authenticator account.
- Select the desired logo, and edit the account name as desired, then click Save.
Frequently Asked Questions
I can’t find the right logo when searching in Authy’s iOS or Android apps?
The iOS and Android apps use Google Image Search to find the logo associated with your search term. The search results may not be perfect 100% of the time, because Google Image Search isn’t perfect. To improve your search results, try different variations of your application’s name. The results may also change/improve over time, so you can also try searching again later.
Can I search for a logo in the Desktop app or Chrome app?
No, the app logo search is currently only available in the Android and iOS apps.
Do logos sync across devices?
No. Changing the logo for an account token in the Authy app installed on one device will not change the logo for that same account token in the Authy app installed on a different device.
As the vendor of an application, how can I change the logo associated with my application’s account token?
There are two different scenarios with different solutions. If you are using the Authy API to generate your Authy account token, then you can change the logo in Twilio Console. If you are not using the Authy API, then the Authy app uses Google Image Search API to find a logo, using your Google Authenticator token’s Issuer name as the default search term. The user can also try other search terms to find a better logo. The search results may not be perfect 100% of the time, because Google Image Search isn’t perfect. If you recently changed your application’s logo, it may take some time for Google to figure out that that is the most relevant logo for your application’s name. In general, we will not change your application’s logo to something different than what is returned by Google.
