Why can't I See my Authy Application on Remote Connections?

Notice: The Authy Desktop app reached its End-of-Life on March 19, 2024. For full details, see Authy for Desktop End of Life (EOL).

2FA has become a de facto standard to protect your accounts from fraud, even when your password has been compromised. As a security method, it is of paramount importance that we protect your application from any third party from accessing your 2FA tokens.

For this reason, Authy Desktop version 2.2.3 and later has integrated security features to prevent third party applications from accessing the Authy screen. You will not be able to take screenshots of the Authy application, or share it in applications like Zoom, Teams, or remote desktop environments.

Please be aware that this is expected behavior intended for security purposes, and it’s not possible to get around it. You need to access your Authy application directly to see its content.
