Your inbound WhatsApp messages may appear to be blank for the following reasons:
- You have received a location message. The location information is available in the inbound webhook payload. - You have received a reaction message. Reaction messages are when an end user holds down on a message and “reacts” with an emoji. Twilio does not currently support reaction messages. If an end user reacts to one of your messages, you will receive a blank inbound message.
- You have received a message from someone who has turned on the “disappearing messages” feature on their WhatsApp application. These messages are not supported on the WhatsApp Business API with Twilio and will appear to be blank in your logs.
