How long will my WhatsApp Sender be "pending"?

When you onboard a number as a WhatsApp Sender, the Sender needs to go through an approval process with Meta. During this approval process, you will see the status of your Sender as "pending".

The amount of time that you can expect your Sender to remain in "pending" depends on your onboarding method:

  • Self Sign-up: Your Sender will be "pending" for up to 24 hours. If your Sender is still pending after 24 hours, reach out to Support.
  • Guided Onboarding: Your Sender will be "pending" for around 1 week or longer. You will have a Support ticket open with the WhatsApp onboarding team who will keep you informed of the Sender onboarding progress.
