When you onboard a number as a WhatsApp Sender, the Sender needs to go through an approval process with Meta. During this approval process, you will see the status of your Sender as "pending" or "PENDING_VERIFICATION".
The amount of time that you can expect your Sender to remain in "pending" depends on your onboarding method:
- Self Sign-up: Your Sender will be "pending" for up to 24 hours. If your Sender is still pending after 24 hours, reach out to Support.
- Guided Onboarding: Your Sender may be "pending" for around 1 week or longer. You will have a Support ticket open with the WhatsApp onboarding team who will keep you informed of the Sender onboarding progress.
