A2P 10DLC Campaign Vetting Delays: Twilio cannot approve 10DLC Campaigns ourselves, and must rely on third parties who control our connections to carriers to sign off. These external processes are creating several week delays for our customers. We continue to escalate these issues and are working to reduce delays wherever possible. Further details will be shared in the Campaign Vetting Changes article as they become available.

Upgrading Twilios 2FA backend system

This article applies to the internal works of the Twilios 2FA service. The Authy app is not going away. We are committed to growing and supporting the Twilio Authy app as a consumer application.

Starting May, Twilio has initiated the migration of our 2FA service on the backend from Authy API to Twilios’ new authentication product - Verify API for an improved customer experience.

The Verify API is an evolution of the Authy API and will empower us to provide better services, allow us to expand the offered authentication solutions as well as provide better troubleshooting tooling for our support team.

For customers that have SMS, Voice Calls or Authentications Apps as their preferred 2FA method - the migration will take place without any need for them to act, or make changes to their account.

For customers that are using the Authy app: We will offer a dedicated migration process that will allow them to add the new Verify TOTP token into their Authy (or another TOTP based authenticator) application through scanning the QR code.
