A2P 10DLC Campaign Vetting Delays: Twilio cannot approve 10DLC Campaigns ourselves, and must rely on third parties who control our connections to carriers to sign off. These external processes are creating several week delays for our customers. We continue to escalate these issues and are working to reduce delays wherever possible. Further details will be shared in the Campaign Vetting Changes article as they become available.

Documents Required and Instructions to Register Your Alphanumeric Sender ID in Australia

Before we begin

Effective April 25, 2023, dynamic Alphanumeric Sender IDs won’t be allowed in Australia. All Alphanumeric Sender IDs must be pre-registered to send messages in Australia. Messages sent using Alphanumeric Sender IDs that aren’t pre-registered by April 25, 2023 may be blocked at this time. Twilio reserves the right to block customers who have not registered by the specified date; we may block customer traffic sooner if we receive notice from ACMA to do so.

This article outlines the documentation requirements for a pre-registration in Australia.

In 2022, the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) introduced the Scam Code. This Code outlines processes for identifying, tracing, and blocking disrupting scam calls and scam SMS.
To remain compliant with these industry-wide regulatory changes, Twilio is mandating pre-registration of Alphanumeric Sender IDs by April 25, 2023. This will help Twilio ensure that Australian consumers are safe from fraud and that messages are not blocked.

To register your Alphanumeric Sender ID, Twilio requires that you provide the following documents:
